Life Transitions • Men’s Mental Health • Sex Addiction • Anxiety • Depression • Trauma
My style is informed by Person-Centered Therapy, mindfulness and emotional regulation work. I don’t push a formula. Instead, we’ll explore your experience at your pace, creating a space to feel what’s been avoided. No need for fables, roles or masks, we get to be real.
If you’ve landed here, you might be struggling with a part of yourself that feels heavy to carry—or hard to name. Maybe you are navigating stress, a difficult transition in life or are struggling with intimacy, compulsive patterns or escaping into behaviors that provide short-term relief but long-term guilt or shame. Or maybe you’re carrying emotions, life shame, anger or guilt, that you’ve learned to silence, until now.
I specialize in helping people make sense of their inner world, especially those who feel misunderstood, mislabeled, or mishandled by past experiences in therapy or recovery. I bring a steady, thoughtful presence to our work. Together, we’ll create a space where judgment has no place, and honesty has room to breathe.
I believe therapy works best when it’s grounded in real connection. My approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, which means the relationship between us matters just as much as the tools we use.
Many of the behaviors we wrestle with are attempts to avoid pain we never learned how to name. Whether it’s grief, shame, anger, or fear, I’ll walk with you as you learn to feel without fear and respond with more awareness than avoidance.
My clients often tell me they appreciate my steady presence and calm demeanor. I’m not here to rush your process or tell you who to be. I’m here to listen, reflect, and support you in making sense of what’s been hard to hold on your own. In our sessions, you can expect a calm, grounded space where you set the pace. Some weeks might be about working through heavy emotion; others may be quiet reflection or practical next steps. It’s all welcome.
Before I was a therapist, I was a full-time musician. I spent years creating, touring, and recording, and that creative foundation still shapes the way I show up in the therapy room attuned, intuitive, improvisational, and present.
My journey into clinical work began in a homeless shelter and 24-hour crisis center, where I took calls from people in their darkest moments, sometimes suicidal, sometimes out of options. I stayed. Those experiences gave me an unshakable belief that real healing starts with safety and connection.
I received my M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Washington State University. I have been a professional musician for many years, which has prepared me well for the challenges of being a counselor in that it has taught me how to listen, be present, and improvise in the moment. When my musical career was put on hold due to the pandemic, I felt a strong inner call to return to the field of counseling. What started as a whisper eventually became a renewed calling of service, as I find more clarity in helping others in their moments of transition with empathy and compassion.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
—Carl Rogers
I know how hard it is to be vulnerable, and how easy it can be to protect your heart when you’ve opened up in the past and felt judged, dismissed or misunderstood. You may have tried to trust someone, a mentor, coach, support group or institution only to feel let down or misled instead of supported. If this sounds like your experience, let me help. I would be honored to work to earn your trust, one step at a time. In our work, you need not explain everything all at once. You need not be anyone but yourself. I will be here to listen and walk with you as you begin to feel more grounded, connected and at home in your life once again.
Let’s work together, in your time, your way.
I offer therapy sessions in person in Englewood and remotely across Colorado via telehealth. Whether you’re beginning a journey toward healing, wrestling with emotional overwhelm, or searching for a therapist who truly listens, I invite you to reach out. Much like music, therapy is about rhythm, patience, and finding moments of resonance. We don’t have to rush. There’s time to explore.
