Hello! I’m Carrie A Lindberg

M.A., LPC, CPTT
So, who am I? I am a middle aged woman, mother to three boys and a divorcee after twenty years of marriage. Mostly, I am just like everyone else, trying to balance work, parenting, managing a household and my own self-care. I am also a mental health professional who has spent their life and career developing the skills necessary to assist others in overcoming obstacles and restoring balance to their own lives.

I have worked in the field of mental health for over 25 years and have been a licensed professional counselor since 2001. I strive to create a supportive, calm and nonjudgmental space for people to explore, question, heal and grow. My experiences of working in group homes, community mental health, crisis services, county jails and private practice have provided me with the skills to meet clients confidently and mindfully where they are and to listen and support their process in a way that fits best for them. I am trained in EMDR and have a CPTT (Certified Partner Trauma Therapist) certification and am well versed in working with trauma, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, issues related to grief and loss and the unique stresses that come with being involved in the legal system. I love providing support to adults and older adults as they navigate life transitions or work to overcome obstacles that prevent them from living their best life. I passionately believe that we all have within us the power to heal so that we can experience the joy that life has to offer.

Brene Brown talks about having the courage to be vulnerable so that we can connect with others and be our authentic selves. It is in this way that we can live our best life which is something that I believe we all deserve to do. My goal is to assist anyone I meet with to embrace the courage they have within themselves to be vulnerable, face their fears, connect with themselves and others, be authentic and to support them in living their best life. Whatever that may be.
