Hello! I’m Carrie A Lindberg
So, who am I? I am a middle aged woman, mother to three boys and a divorcee after twenty years of marriage. Mostly, I am just like everyone else, trying to balance work, parenting, managing a household and my own self-care. I am also a mental health professional who has spent their life and career developing the skills necessary to assist others in overcoming obstacles and restoring balance to their own lives.
For more than twenty years I have worked in the realm of community mental health which has provided me with the opportunity to work in a wide variety of settings with a wide variety of clients. That breadth of experience and training that allows me to confidently meet clients where they are at, to listen, be nonjudgmental, mindful and to tailor treatment to each person’s specific needs. I am familiar with ACT, CBT, DBT, Grief Counseling, the cycle of abuse, trauma and crisis interventions amongst other things. Most importantly, I consider the whole person-mind/body/soul when meeting with them and create a safe space to explore the self, make transitions, heal and grow.
Brene Brown talks about having the courage to be vulnerable so that we can connect with others and be our authentic selves. It is in this way that we can live our best life which is something that I believe we all deserve to do.
My goal is to assist anyone I meet with to embrace the courage they have within themselves to be vulnerable, face their fears, connect with themselves and others, be authentic and to support them in living their best life. Whatever that may be.
