Hello! I’m Elysia Adams

M.A., LPCC

Clients and others often ask, “What draws you to a profession centered on people’s emotional challenges?” For me, the answer lies in community. From construction sites, barber chairs, to the therapeutic container, alignment with a client creating a connection to healing is a powerful strength geared towards discovery in the moment, now.

Inviting all relationship dynamics and emotional vulnerabilities to the space, my passions include couples therapy/marriage counseling, infidelity/mistrust/emotional strain, attachment styles, and the desire to rebuild connection. I honor working with men’s mental health, opening exploration for clients to explore identity, vulnerability, and desires in an open, safe, direct space. Grounded, trauma-informed, mindful lens utilized rooted in compassion and honoring wholeness. Expanded awareness of additional impacts and identities of religious trauma, childhood wounding, and unresolved attachment patterns.

I offer queer-affirming care, welcoming LGBTQIA+ clients and polyamorous/CNM/ENM relationships with fluidity, respect, and an integrative approach to your unique life.

My Therapeutic Approach

My practice is grounded in transpersonal therapy, an approach that honors and integrates mind, body, and spirit. In tailoring sessions to your individual needs, exploration may include spirituality, intuition, and somatic experiences alongside the more visible struggles of anxiety, disconnection, or grief. Common therapeutic approaches I utilize include Somatic Exploration, Internal Family Systems (IFS), NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), Gestalt, Mindfulness, and Transpersonal therapy.

Clients often come to me navigating emotional overwhelm, guilt, shame, attachment fractures, relational pain, and moments where life feels misaligned. Permission-based exploration at your direction is where we can begin.

About Me: My Journey to Clinical Practice

Influencing my career shift to a therapist, my profession as a general manager (GM) in construction and barber were roles built on trust, steadiness, and human connection.

During the pandemic, behind the barber chair, was a clear calling to deepen my ability to support community in a deeper way. Clients shared stories of isolation, identity loss, and emotional pain. In pursuit of my own dreams in conjunction with harm reduction, I returned to pursue an MA.

Therapy is a strong held identity in being beside humanity and embracing healing. I am an avid van life traveler and support my son on his education/athletic journey. This lifestyle keeps me rooted in freedom, presence, and the quiet power of showing up for clients as they are.
